A656 is an American standard high-strength low-alloy structural steel. There are four grades of A656 steel plates: 50, 60, 70 and 80. A656 steel plate is also a high-strength, low-alloy, hot-rolled structural steel used in lighter weight and lighter structural applications where improved formability is critical. The use of high-strength low-alloy steel can effectively reduce the weight of the structure, improve the strength and stiffness of the structure, and improve durability while reducing the thickness of the structure. A656 carbon steel plates are commonly used in construction equipment, crane booms, automobile frames and general manufacturing. They are suitable for use in low temperature environments.
