The China Iron And Steel Association Held A Symposium on jointly Promoting The Development Of Steel Structure Buildings
Recently, a symposium on the coordinated promotion of steel structure development was held in Ma'anshan, Anhui, hosted by the China Iron and Steel Association and organized by Ma'anshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., with the theme of "Integration and Innovation - High-efficiency Steel to Help Steel Structure "Good House" Construction". Xia Nong, Vice President of the China Iron and Steel Association, Zhang Feng, Chief Engineer of the Science and Technology and Industrialization Development Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Qi Weidong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Ma'anshan Iron and Steel, and more than 80 expert representatives from 37 steel structure building design and construction related enterprises, scientific research institutes, and 7 steel companies gathered together to discuss the working methods and paths for the coordinated development of the steel structure building industry chain.

Wang Tie, Director of the Carbon Market Division of the Department of Climate Change of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, stood at the podium of the 2025 International Forum on Carbon Emission Reduction in the Building Materials Industry and announced that the three industries of steel, cement and aluminum smelting will start the first carbon emission quota allocation and clearance and compliance work. This policy will cover an additional 3 billion tons of carbon dioxide equivalent greenhouse gas emissions, increasing the proportion of carbon emissions controlled by the national carbon market from 40% to more than 60% of the national total.

They are widely used in construction, home appliances, automobiles, containers, transportation, and home industries, especially in industries such as steel structure buildings, automobile manufacturing, and steel silo manufacturing. The thickness of galvanized steel coils generally ranges from 0.4 to 3.2 mm, with a thickness deviation of about 0.05 mm and a length and width deviation of generally 5 mm.


Galvalume Steel Coil

Aluminized zinc steel coilis an alloy material made of 55% aluminum, 43% zinc, and 2% silicon solidified at a high temperature of 600°C. It combines the physical protection and high durability of aluminum with the electrochemical protection of zinc. GL steel coil has excellent corrosion resistance, which is three times that of pure galvanized coil, and features a beautiful zinc flower surface, making it suitable for use as an exterior panel in buildings. Its corrosion resistance mainly comes from aluminum, which provides protective functionality. When zinc is worn away, aluminum forms a dense layer of aluminum oxide that prevents further corrosion of internal materials. The thermal reflectivity of aluminized zinc steel coil is very high, double that of galvanized steel plates, and it is often used as insulation material.
